After receiving my master's degree from Northwestern University in Education and Social Policy, I began my teaching career at J. Sterling Morton High School in Cicero, Illinois. I taught high school English for three years at Morton before moving to Lancaster County. In 1993 I happily accepted a teaching position at Warwick High School, and I have been teaching ninth grade English ever since.
