Biography

Mrs. Mariah Balmer began her career at Warwick School District at the beginning of the 2022 school year as a third grade teacher. She student taught in second grade in the fall of 2021 at Bonfield Elementary. After student teaching, Mrs. Balmer worked as a day-to-day substitute in the Bonfield building. In February of 2022, Mrs. Balmer became an extended substitute in Kindergarten until May of 2022. Mrs. Balmer is currently a first grade teacher at Bonfield Elementary. 

Before pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher, Mrs. Balmer attended George Mason University to study communication. After graduating in the spring of 2019, Mrs. Balmer enrolled in the post baccalaureate certification program at Millersville University. During her time in the program, Mrs. Balmer worked as a para-educator in the Palmyra Area School District in an autistic support classroom. 

Mrs. Balmer really enjoys working in the Warwick School District. She is looking forward to making connections with her first grade students and meeting each one where they are at in their learning journey. Mrs. Balmer believes that communication plays a major role in education. She looks forward to collaborating with families, students, and staff in the Warwick School District.
