Warwick School District

Shared Belief Statements

Dear Warwick School District Community,

I want to share with you a set of belief statements that reflect what we stand for as a district. With recent updates to our policies, we developed these statements to give our community a clear place to reference the principles and practices that guide our work in serving students.

These beliefs aren't new, they represent the ongoing commitments that shape our daily work across the district. They influence the decisions we make about resources, curriculum, support services and how we create learning environments where every student can succeed. I want families, students, staff and community members to have a clear understanding of what drives us and to know that these commitments continue to guide everything we do.

Respectfully,

Dr. Jason Reifsnyder

BELIEF STATEMENTS

We believe every student deserves access to the resources they need to succeed.
This means providing each student with the specific support, opportunities and resources necessary for their individual educational success, regardless of race, color, age, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, ancestry, national origin, marital status, pregnancy, handicap/disability, family background or income.

We believe that achievement should never be predetermined.
Every student has unlimited potential and we are committed to identifying and removing existing barriers, whether in our policies, practices, facilities, curriculum or culture that prevent any student from reaching their educational goals.

We believe in creating welcoming spaces where everyone belongs.
Our schools should reflect and celebrate our students, families and community, fostering an environment where respectful dialogue and civil interactions are the foundation of our daily work together.

We believe families are essential partners in education.
We value and actively seek the voices of all families in shaping their children's educational experiences and our district's decisions.

We believe in holding ourselves accountable.
We continuously examine our practices, analyze data and listen to our students, staff and families to ensure we are making measurable progress to ensure every student is learning and growing. Our commitment to educating every student guides every decision we make, from classroom instruction to budget allocation.
