I grew up in Milroy, Pennsylvania, and attended Indian Valley Middle School, where I first found my love for reading through the book The Grapes of Wrath in 8th Grade. That love propelled me to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts English from Penn State University and a Post-Baccalaureate Certification in Secondary English Education from Millersville University. I finished my Master's Degree in English Education in 2020.
Having taught 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Grade at both Warwick High School and Conestoga Valley High School as a Long Term Substitute, I have an undeniable passion for teaching. I started teaching at Warwick Middle School in 2013, and I have loved it ever since!
Outside of school, my interests include playing and listening to music, reading, watching movies, writing fiction, hiking, and trying new foods. I strongly believe that my interests inform my teaching and vice versa. Our interests make us unique, and a classroom is a collection of unique interests and perspectives.
