Biography

Miss Cox grew up in Shrewsbury, PA and graduated from Susquehannock High School. She also attended Shippensburg University, where she studied for her teaching career. During her time in college, she studied abroad in Ormskirk, England at Edge Hill University (near Liverpool) in the fall of 2017. 

After graduating from college in 2019, Miss Cox began her career out of the country, teaching English to high school students in a small town called Brzeg Dolny located in southwest Poland. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she was then evacuated from the country, finishing the school year back home in the U.S. virtually.

Once back in Pennsylvania, Miss Cox began teaching stateside in the Reading School District. There, she taught 7th and 8th grade ELA for two years. During her time at Southwest Middle School, she began the school's first newspaper club for her students. 

Now, Miss Cox is leading WMS's Ink Slingers club and pursuing a master's degree in Instructional Media at Wilkes University.
