Staff Recognized for ‘My Warwick – Your Impact’

Each year, senior athletes are given the opportunity to choose a staff member to be recognized for the impact they have on students’ lives. For the Fall season, the following staff members were chosen:

Cheerleading:

Mrs. Stacey Yunginger, a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Kissel Hill Elementary, was recognized by senior Kaitlyn Dahl for always being a cheerleader for her students by bringing enthusiasm, encouragement, and positivity to her classroom.

Mrs. Jami Zimmerman, a Social Studies Teacher at the High School, and Mrs. Marianne Brobst, a School Counselor at the Middle School, were recognized by senior Skylar Kramer. Both staff members received this honor for their steadfast commitment to their students and the kindness they show them.

Ms. Renée Campeau, a World Languages Teacher at the Middle School and High School, was recognized by senior Dakota Martin for her passion for teaching and sincere care for her students.

Ms. Maribeth Johnson, a High School Counselor, was recognized by senior Ella Ober for the positive impact she had on her life.

Mrs. Megan Cupo-Fisher, a 6th Grade Teacher at John R. Bonfield Elementary, was recognized by senior Aubrey Metzler for the positive impact she made during 4th grade, 6th grade, and beyond.

Cross Country (Girls):

Mrs. Emily Nixdorf, a Math Teacher at the High School, was recognized by senior Leah Richie for the way she challenges her students in a caring and supportive way, allowing them to flourish and build confidence while learning.

Mrs. Steph Taylor, a Kindergarten Teacher at Lititz Elementary, was recognized by senior Emma Johnsen for the positive impact she’s currently having on her life as they work together during Emma’s Career Learning Experience.

Mrs. Penny Trees, a retired 4th Grade Teacher at Kissel Hill Elementary, was recognized by senior Jordan Mearig for her infectious laugh and bright spirit.

Cross Country (Boys):

Mr. Nate Nixdorf, an Art Teacher at the High School, was recognized by senior Austin Van Grouw for their shared interests in running, architecture, and design.

Football:

Mrs. Cathy Dommel, a Gifted Support Teacher at John Bonfield and Kissel Hill Elementaries, was recognized by seniors Tyler Musser and Wes Brunken for having a fun class that gave them something to look forward to.

Mrs. Sarah Holton, a 5th Grade Teacher at Kissel Hill Elementary, was recognized by senior Calvin Bent for the way she saw his potential and held him to a high standard.

Mrs. Jill Sturgis, a 4th Grade Teacher at John R. Bonfield Elementary, was recognized by senior Jace Conrad for her great sense of humor, high expectations for her students, and her kind heart.

Mr. Earl Hazel, the Athletic Director, was recognized by senior Bode Madara for the way he supported his students during his time as a teacher.

Golf:

Mrs. Katie Shickman, a Language Arts Teacher at the High School, was recognized by senior Piper Smith for the way she connects with her students in meaningful ways and makes learning fun.

Mr. Michael Neuman, a Math Teacher at the High School, was recognized by senior Emily Stauffer for his commitment to his students. He shows up and supports them, not only academically, but also during their extracurricular activities.

Soccer (Girls):

Mrs. Katie Shickman, a Language Arts Teacher at the High School, was recognized by senior Sara Hassona for the way she connects with her students and brings meaning to the curriculum that clearly makes a difference.

Soccer (Boys):

Mrs. Jessica Schieber, a 5th Grade Teacher at John Beck Elementary, was recognized by senior Cam Lobb for the connection they made as teacher and student and then as teacher and TA.

Tennis (Girls): 

Mrs. Katie Shickman, a Language Arts Teacher at the High School, was recognized by senior Josie Lynch for being incredibly supportive and making her students feel recognized and valued.

Ms. Naomi Miller, an Art Teacher at the High School, was recognized by senior Emily Boltz for the way her class inspires students to reach for their best and express themselves in their work.

Mr. Jonathan Shoff, the Choir Director at the Middle School and High School, was recognized by Vera Roth for being a fantastic music teacher!

Ms. Nina Moore, a School Psychologist at the High School, was recognized by senior Hannah Rigg for being an anchor of support for her students. Her kindness and unwavering advocacy are an integral part of our school community.

Mr. Spencer Nissly, a Language Arts Teacher at the High School, was recognized by senior Bri Eberly because he checks all the boxes of an amazing teacher: great sense of humor and taste in music, supportive, knowledgeable, and hard-working!

Mrs. Joan Bohan, a Language Arts Teacher at the High School, was recognized by senior Lyla Brenner for the way she exhibits positivity, provides support, and connects with her students beyond the curriculum.

Volleyball (Girls):

Mr. Earl Hazel, the Athletic Director, was recognized by senior Katie Burr for the way he positively impacted her life when he taught her in 8th-grade ELA.

Mr. Lee Walter, a Science Teacher at the Middle School, was recognized by senior Cristina Brandt for the huge impact he had on her during her 7th-grade year.

Mrs. Katie Shickman, a Language Arts Teacher at the High School, was recognized by senior Riley Good for the way she connects with her students in meaningful ways and makes learning fun.

Mrs. Sam Snyder, a Business Education Teacher at the High School, was recognized by senior Italia Campagna for the way she teaches her classes with meaningful activities. Mrs. Snyder puts her heart into teaching, and that makes learning special for her students.

Mrs. Krista Roe, a Science Teacher at the High School, was recognized by senior Kira Abers for the way she inspires curiosity and a love of learning in her students.
