We will have the following 12 students participate in the LLMEA County Chorus:

Yana Argulski, grade 11, Soprano 1

Finn Cracroft, grade 11, Tenor 1

Lydia Crowther, grade 10, Soprano 1

Olivia Dickson, grade 11, Alto 1

Carter Geesaman, grade 10, Bass 1

Alexander Kofroth, grade 10, Bass 2

Lucy Taylor, grade 11, Alto 1

Hannah Trovinger, grade 11, Soprano 1

Leah Turnbull, grade 11, Alto 1

Molly Weiler, grade 11, Alto 1

“I wanted to return to LLMEA County Chorus because of all the advanced singers that were there in previous years, and because it was a fun group to collaborate with and learn music alongside. I’m looking forward to it!” - Isaac Afutiti

This one-day festival will take place on January 3rd at Hempfield High School and will hold a public concert at 5:00 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door for $7.00 (cash only).

LLMEA festivals are an excellent opportunity for students from local schools to perform together. This year’s guest conductor will be Dr. Dustin Cates from Temple University.

In addition to Country Chorus, we had 10 students qualify for District Chorus.

The District Chorus auditions took place on Saturday, October 25th, where over 600 students from across eight counties auditioned for just 200 spots in the ensemble. Of our students who auditioned, five of them ranked in the top 10 of their voice part, with two of those students ranking 1st for their part (Lucy Taylor, 1st Alto 1, Finn Cracroft, 1st Tenor 1).

“I’ve done district chorus since my freshman year and I was so encouraged by the upperclassman to participate, that it made me not only want to keep coming back, but to make sure I continue to encourage the underclassman the way I was encouraged, so that we continue Warwick’s legacy at these types of musical ensembles for years to come.”  - Sheridan MacKenzie

Congratulations to the following students who qualified:

Isaac Afutiti, grade 11, Bass 1

Yana Argulski, grade 11, Soprano 1

Finn Cracroft, grade 11, Tenor 1

Olivia Dickson, grade 11, Alto 1

Carter Geesaman, grade 10, Bass 1

Alexander Kofroth, grade 10, Bass 2

Sheridan MacKenzie, grade 12, Soprano 1

Benjamin Reist, grade 11, Tenor 2

Lucy Taylor, grade 11, Alto 1

Leah Turnbull, grade 11, Alto 1

“I auditioned for districts because this opportunity is one of the highest honors for a musical student at Warwick. It was such a wonderful experience to meet new people, reunite with old friends, and become a better musician.” - Leah Turnbull

PMEA festivals allow students from many schools to perform and grow their abilities together. This year’s guest conductor will be Dr. Craig Denison from IUP. The festival will take place on January 9th and 10th, with a public concert held at the Boiling Springs High School Auditorium at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $10 (cash only).

During the two-day festival, students will re-audition for the chance to move on to Regionals. We wish all of these students good luck and hope they have a fantastic time at their respective festivals!
