You are middle schoolers and will be treated like middle schoolers.
● Your behavior is a choice. Choose wisely.
● Your behavior should never stop others from learning.
● Homework is given every night. Projects are assigned in various classes.
● You are expected to walk quietly in the halls during transitions.
● You are expected to maintain a planner, reading binder, homework folder, writing folder, and keep you desk neat desk.
● You need to be prepared with all materials each day.
● You are expected to handle problems as a young adult. Class meetings are held weekly to address situations. I prefer to stop problems before they start.
● I do not expect you to be best friends with everyone in the class, but I do expect you to treat your classmates and teachers with RESPECT.
● If you do not understand a concept in class, it is your responsibility to ask questions or seek help.
● State standards for 6th Graders are to read 25 books in one year (June to June). A reading log is in this packet so you may start now.
● You are expected to grow, learn, have a blast, and celebrate your final year in Kissel Hill.
● You are now the leaders of Kissel Hill. The younger students will look to you as role models. Please take this new role seriously.
● Last but not least, if you display a good attitude and handle your responsibilities as a 6th Grader, we will have a fun and exciting year.
