Warwick School District proudly welcomes Dr. Jason Reifsnyder as our new Superintendent. While new to the role, Dr. Reifsnyder is no stranger to our community. He and his family have lived in the area for over 15 years, which has allowed him to develop a deep and personal investment in the district, as well as bring a unique and powerful perspective to his leadership.
Dr. Reifsnyder began his career as an agricultural science teacher at Garden Spot High School. During his time there, he taught biology, environmental science, horticulture, landscape design, and leadership courses while also coaching boys' and girls' soccer. From there, he transitioned into administration, serving in a variety of roles, including:
Assistant Principal at ELCO Middle School (while coaching track and field, and volunteering with the girls’ soccer program)
Assistant Principal and Principal at Manheim Township Middle School
Principal at Neff 6 Elementary School
Assistant to the Superintendent for Personnel and Student Services at Derry Township School District
His years of service, combining classroom teaching with administrative work, give him a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to support staff and students at all levels.
Dr. Reifsnyder hit the ground running on July 1, 2025, with the immediate goal of listening and learning. He plans to spend ample time in our classrooms, connecting with staff and families, and gaining a full picture of the district from every angle. His three key priorities include:
Inspiring students to find their passion and feel excited about their future. Whether those passions relate to academics, the arts, athletics, or something else, he’ll be there to cheer them on.
Empowering staff with the tools, training, and autonomy they need to succeed.
Uniting the community through strong communication and partnerships with families, businesses, and local organizations.
Dr. Reifsnyder describes his leadership style as “servant leadership” and feels that part of his job is putting the needs of students, staff, and the community first.
“My job is to champion what others are doing well and clear the path so they can succeed,” he says. “When teachers have great ideas, I want to support that. When students are doing amazing things, I want to celebrate it. I’m not interested in taking credit; my role is to make sure others have what they need to thrive.”
One of the things that makes Dr. Reifsnyder unique is his dual role as both Superintendent and community member. He lives here, his children go to school here, and like others in our community, his family is deeply invested in the district’s success.
“When I make decisions, I’m not just thinking about students in general; I’m thinking about my own kids too,” he explains. “I’ll be attending the same events, talking to the same teachers, and helping with the same homework. I’m right there with you all.”
Outside of work, Dr. Reifsnyder enjoys cycling, coaching youth sports, cheering on Penn State, and grilling or smoking foods. His favorite classes as a student were anything related to agriculture. His first job was as a bag boy at Yoder’s Country Market. He loves vanilla iced coffee. And, despite teaching a floral design class during student teaching, he admits he cannot tie a bow to save his life!
“I’m honored and humbled to serve as your next Superintendent. You’ll see me at sporting and musical events, in our schools, and around town. Stop by and say hello!" he says. "At the end of the day, this is a people business. Education is not about the buildings or budgets; it’s about human interactions and connections. It’s the relationships that matter the most. I may not always get everything right, but I promise to lead with integrity, transparency, and a student-first mindset every step of the way.”
We look forward to starting this new chapter with you all!
