Warwick School District’s 2025 Homecoming Queen and Spirit King Goes To…

Congratulations to Katie Burr and Wes Brunken for being this year’s Homecoming Queen and Spirit King!

One of our favorite events of the school year is Homecoming. It’s a great night to welcome home our alumni and celebrate this year’s seniors.

In the week leading up to homecoming, high school students participate in several themed spirit days.

This year, students were encouraged to dress up for the following themed days:

Monday: Class Color Wars

Tuesday: Camo

Wednesday: Country and Country Club

Thursday: Coastal Beach Tourist

Friday: USA

Each Fall, the senior class votes for the Homecoming Court and the Spirit King Court. Students were first nominated by their teachers to get on the ballot, and then students voted for the top eight. The students who receive the highest number of votes for Homecoming Queen and Spirit King make up the court.

Additionally, each grade level also voted for a student to represent their class on the court.

The following students were chosen by their peers:

Homecoming:

  • Katie Burr (2024 Homecoming Queen)

  • Annalaye Glenn (1st Runner-up)

  • Kaitlyn Dahl (2nd Runner-up)

  • Abby Hollowell

  • Emily Hoover

  • Madelyn Myers

  • Susanna Myallis - 9th Grade Representative

  • Jayden Simmons - 9th Grade Representative

  • Colin McGaw  - 10th Grade Representative

  • Logan Muñoz - 11th Grade Representative

In the second round of voting, all seniors had the opportunity to vote for the winner of Spirit King and Homecoming Queen.

On Friday afternoon, the High School held its annual pep rally that featured musical performances from the band, school cheers led by the cheerleaders, a performance from the Warriorettes Dance Team, grade-level minute-to-win-it games, and the introduction of the Homecoming Court and the Spirit King Court.

Friday evening, students were invited to a tailgate prior to the football game, where attendees could get their faces painted, compete in a cornhole tournament, and do many other fun activities. The football team had a great game against Cocalico with a final score of 38-8, and the Homecoming Court was announced during halftime, where Katie was crowned the queen.

On Saturday night, students returned to the school for the annual homecoming dance.

We want to give a HUGE shout-out to class advisor, Mr. Caleb Hettinger. We’d also like to thank the students on the Student Council who put in countless hours both over the Summer and during the school year to make this week a success!
