Staff Recognized for ‘My Warwick – Your Impact’

Each year, senior athletes are given the opportunity to choose a staff member to be recognized for the impact they have on students’ lives. For the Spring season, the following staff members were chosen:

Baseball:

Mr. Jeff Slater, a High School Social Studies teacher, was recognized by senior CJ Easler for always being organized, well-prepared, and committed to his students.

Mrs. Jessica Schieber, a 4th-grade teacher at John Beck Elementary, was recognized by senior Cole Gerhart for teaching with heart and kindness, as well as always modeling the best qualities for her students to follow.

Lacrosse (Boys):

Mrs. Erica Breckenmaker, a 6th-grade teacher at John Beck Elementary, was recognized by senior Koen Glass for keeping him focused and teaching with her heart.

Mr. Jeff DuBosq, a High School Technology Education teacher, was recognized by senior Landon Reylek for his ability to connect well with his students and for caring for them beyond just the content he teaches.

Lacrosse (Girls):

Mr. Earl Hazel, the district’s Athletic Director, was recognized by senior Grace Cianci-Krall, for always supporting and believing in her.

Softball:

Mrs. Allison Bernstein, a 6th-grade teacher at John Beck Elementary, was recognized by senior Marlee Martin for the way she connects with her students in meaningful ways and makes learning fun.

Mrs. Jenna Bradley, Mrs. Sasha Care, Mrs. Sonya Heisey, Mrs. Dawn Larsen, Mrs. Nikki Longer, Ms. Betsy Robison, and Mrs. Brandie Wersler, our High School lunch ladies, were recognized by senior Katie Heisey for always making her laugh and giving her tremendous support both in school and on the field.

Tennis (Boys):

Mr. Jeff Wile (High School Math Teacher) and Mr. Doug Balmer (High School Science Teacher) were recognized by senior Ansh Dwivedi for always going above and beyond to challenge and support their students.

Mrs. Julie Mowrer, a High School Social Studies teacher, was recognized by senior Ayden Gilbertson because she inspired him to pursue a career in education. 

Track & Field (Girls): 

Mrs. Erica Breckenmaker and Mrs. Allison Bernstein, 6th-grade teachers at John Beck Elementary, were recognized by senior Zoe Wiker for the positive impact they had on her life by providing a foundation for her future leadership.

Mr. Gary Minnich, a High School Math Teacher, was recognized by senior Indi Loop for his fun sense of humor and enthusiasm, and for teaching in a way that pushes students to do their best.

Mrs. Faith Siegrist, a 5th-grade teacher at Lititz Elementary, was recognized by senior Dasia Meyer because her classroom was always a welcoming place where students were challenged to do their best and were always encouraged by her unwavering support.

Unified Track:

Mrs. Monica Hough, an Intervention Specialist at Kissel Hill Elementary, was recognized by senior Emily Hough for not only being an amazing educator, but also the best mom.

Mr. Matt Reber, a 6th-grade teacher at Kissel Hill Elementary, was recognized by senior Elle Overly for teaching lessons that ripple beyond the classroom and into the lives of his students.

Mrs. Katie Shickman, a High School Language Arts teacher, was recognized by senior Riley Sensenig for having a welcoming place for students to be challenged and supported.

Mrs. Sheila Hershey, the district’s Athletic Trainer, was recognized by senior Ginny Vance for the positive impact she had on her life.

We are so blessed to have such an impactful staff here at Warwick! Thank you to every staff member who had a hand in shaping the lives of these students.
