Each year, senior athletes are given the opportunity to choose a staff member to be recognized for the impact they have on students’ lives. For the Fall season, the following staff members were chosen:
Mr. Jonathan Shoff, the High School Choir Director, was recognized by senior Abby Muñoz for being an amazing mentor. Abby appreciates the way he supports and challenges students to fight for their goals and look deeper into the ‘why’ behind their aspirations.
Mr. Earl Hazel, the Athletic Director, was recognized by senior Anais McMillion for his steadfast commitment to supporting all athletes. Regardless of which team or of which student, he is always there to cheer them on!
Miss Diana Griffiths, a High School Science Teacher, was recognized by senior MacKenzee Wiker for being an amazing teacher. MacKenzee recognizes Miss Griffiths for the way she connects with her students and cares about them beyond the classroom.
Mr. Gary Minnich, a High School Math Teacher, was recognized by senior Alleha Glenn for the way he always challenges his students to reach their potential and work through difficult content areas.
Mr. Bob White, a Lititz Elementary 6th Grade Teacher, was recognized by senior Ruby Cesarini for the hard work he does for his students. He works to provide meaningful opportunities, such as the Biztown trip, that affect students’ long-term and helps to shape their future career goals.
Mrs. Sam Snyder, a High School Business Education Teacher, was recognized by senior Addy Zimmerman for inspiring her students with meaningful projects that bring the content to life.
Mrs. Ann Ahlers, the High School Orchestra Director, was recognized by senior Victoria Kolawa for the positive impact she had on her life throughout her years in the music department.
Mr. Gary Minnich, a High School Math Teacher, and Mr. Eric Jeanes, a Middle School Social Studies Teacher, were recognized by senior Maeve Zee for being terrific teachers and outstanding coaches.
Mr. Bobby Rhoads, a Middle School Health/Physical Education Teacher, was recognized by senior Aspen Grube for being an inspiring teacher who helped her define her future plans through his love of science.
Mrs. Katie Shickman, a High School Language Arts Teacher, was recognized by senior Hailee Adams for her bright smile and positive attitude that make her class a warm and welcoming place to learn.
Mrs. Faith Siegrist, a Lititz Elementary 5th Grade Teacher, was recognized by senior Bree Zoccolo not only because Bree enjoyed her class, but also because Bree had the opportunity to be a TA in her class and loved every minute of it.
Mrs. Meghan Young, a John Beck Elementary/Lititz Elementary Gifted Support Teacher, was recognized by senior Quinn Care because she always brought fun and positivity to her classes.
Mr. Mike Neuman, a High School Math Teacher, was recognized by senior Elle Overly for the way he cares about his students and challenges them to find growth in their struggles.
Mrs. Erica Breckenmaker, a John Beck Elementary 6th Grade Teacher, was recognized by senior McKenna Snavely for the positive impact she’s had on her life both inside and outside of the classroom.
Mr. Don Miller, a Middle School Social Studies Teacher, was recognized by senior Haley Lutz for his great sense of humor and the way he made Social Studies class come to life.
Mr. Mike Neuman, a High School Math Teacher, was recognized by senior Linnea Miller for always helping her with challenging content and for caring about his students beyond just teaching the content.
Mrs. Sarah Holton, a Kissel Hill Elementary 5th Grade Teacher, Mr. Steven Berkey, the Kissel Hill Elementary Physical Education Teacher, and Mr. Matt Reber, a Kissel Hill Elementary 6th Grade Teacher, were recognized by senior Sarah Ngugi for the way that each of their classrooms provided constant support, encouragement, and kindness for all.
Ms. Laura Maillie, a Lititz Elementary Student Support Assistant, was recognized by senior Lily Daecher for her unwavering support and kindness for her students, allowing them to flourish in meaningful ways.
Mrs. Brittany Johnson, a High School Math Teacher, was recognized by senior Claire Diffenbach for being a terrific teacher and for dedicating countless hours to the various student groups she leads.
Mrs. Tish Jones, the High School Virtual and Alternative Learning Teacher, was recognized by senior Taylor Grove for her ability to teach with her heart and make her students feel like they can accomplish anything.
Mr. Mike Neuman, a High School Math Teacher, was recognized by seniors Sage Steele and Kailee Goodhart for his unwavering belief in his students that helps them to find greatness within themselves.
Mr. Nate Nixdorf, a High School Art Teacher, was recognized by senior Allison Kulas for creating a classroom environment where creativity flourishes due to his care and love of learning that he shares with his students.
