Third graders in Dr. Klock’s class at John Beck Elementary recently brought science to life through the power of performance! As part of their study on the La Brea Tar Pits, students collaborated to create an engaging and educational reader’s theater production for their peers in 3rd grade and Kindergarten.
The project was a true team effort; students worked in specialized groups focused on Marketing, Set Design, and Research. Each group played a key role in ensuring the final production was both informative and entertaining.
The performance gave students a unique opportunity to combine academic research with creativity, while also practicing public speaking and collaboration skills. Projects like this one show the amazing things that happen when curiosity, teamwork, and imagination come together in the classroom!
