Elementary & Secondary Upcoming Spring Musicals

We are delighted to share the following information on our upcoming Spring Musicals. The following list is in the order of performance dates and will include ticket information, performance dates/times, show titles, show synopsis, and cast lists. We hope to see you at many of our shows!

Middle School - Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.

Synopsis:

Schoolhouse Rock begins by introducing Tom Mizer, a new teacher, who is nervously preparing for his first day of school when suddenly the TV characters start to talk directly to him. Through his interactions with the TV characters, Tom is able to finish his lesson plans in an innovative and fun way.

  • Adults - $7.00

  • Students - $3.00

Tickets will be available at the door starting one hour before performance times or you can purchase presale tickets on Thursday, February 29th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm outside of the Middle School Auditorium.

John R. Bonfield Elementary - Imagine a Dragon

Show Synopsis:

The dragon is back in town! Well… not really. That’s the story a ragtag band of innkeepers makes up, desperate to draw questing heroes to the struggling Dancing Dragon Inn. Soon the inn is full of unexpected guests, from an army of princesses out to prove their bravery, to a group of overwhelmed heroes trying to hold onto their fame. But what happens if they all discover the innkeepers’ dragon story is made up? Could there be more than one way to save the day? An epic folk-rock score brings magic to this funny, heartfelt fantasy musical.

This is a free show. The doors will open at 6:30 pm each night. There will be cash-only concession sales available before and after the show.

High School - Into the Woods

Show Synopsis:

Stephen Sondheim's highly acclaimed musical, Into the Woods, weaves together numerous well-known fairy tales while giving all of them a twist. While the characters journey through the woods, they struggle with their very human choices and the consequences of having wishes come true. Commonsense Media rates this story for ages 10+.

  • March 16th at 7:30 PM

    • Character Meet & Greet from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Community members are invited to attend for a 'behind the scenes' look at the show.
  • March 17th at 2:00 PM

Kissel Hill Elementary - Finding Nemo Jr.

Show Synopsis:

Finding Nemo Jr. follows the story of a clownfish named Nemo, his dad Marlin, and many other familiar faces we see in this story. When Nemo arrives at school for the first day, things don't go quite as everyone had planned. When Nemo gets taken by a diver, Marlin sets off on his journey across the ocean to find Nemo and rescue them. We can't wait for you to join us for our journey into the Big Blue World!

John Beck Elementary - Willy Wonka Kids

Show Synopsis:

Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Kids takes place in the famous candy maker, Willy Wonka’s magical chocolate factory. A place with mysterious inventions and strange creatures known as Oompa-Loompas. As Wonka faces retirement, the five Golden Ticket winners; Charlie Bucket, Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, and Mike Teavee are accompanied with their parents/grandpa to tour the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory and determine who will receive the lifetime supply of chocolate prizes. Who will be the heir with the true prize; ownership of the Wonka Factory? The children are serenaded by the joyous melody of the Candy Man, joined with our lollipop adorned Candy Kids, and interviews by reporters Phineous Trout. The factory tour will have us traveling through the Chocolate Smelting Room, The Inventing Room, Fizzy Lifting Drink Room, Nut Room with our busy Squirrels, Choco-Vision Room, and the classic chorus of melodically entertaining yet, conveying moralistic reflections; Oompa-Loompa’s. Be sure to come, “You’ll be in a world of Pure Imagination!”

Lititz Elementary - Matilda Jr.

Show Synopsis:

Matilda JR. is a lively and clever tribute to the rebelliousness of childhood and the extraordinary power of imagination. This tale follows the journey of Matilda, a girl who dares to dream of a better life and becomes an inspiration to her fellow classmates creating a team of "revolting children" set on teaching a bully a lesson.

Matilda JR. is a vibrant and uplifting experience, featuring energetic dance routines and captivating songs. Audiences of all ages will be captivated by the story of this extraordinary little girl and her limitless imagination, celebrating the power of kids standing up for what is right.
