Isaac Westlund Receives the American Visions Medal

In February, Isaac Westlund, a junior at Warwick High School, was the recipient of two Gold Key Scholastics Awards in the Printmaking category for his Monoprint titled, “Self Portrait” and his Drypoint Intaglio print titled, “Eels.”

As part of the Scholastics competition, Isaac's Gold Keys meant that he would advance to the National-level of competition and compete against peers from all over the US.

In the National-level of competition, Isaac received the American Voices & Visions Award for his Monoprint, “Self Portrait.” The American Voices & Visions Award considers five students from each regional program who have been nominated for the award. In order to be nominated, students must have a Gold Key work with an original, authentic voice or vision. This award is given to one student per region, and is a big honor!

Kudos to you, Isaac!
