On November 19th, we had nine Middle School students participate in the Lancaster Lebanon Music Educators Association (LLMEA) Middle School Orchestra Festival!
The Middle School LLMEA Orchestra Festival was held at the Palmyra Middle School. Students were selected for the festival based on nominations from their music directors. This Middle School ‘Counties’ festival is an honors festival for string players from Lancaster and Lebanon counties.
Selected students were divided into two groups, The Rockers, under the direction of Mr. Caleb Stelle and The Jammers, under the direction of Warwick’s very own, Mrs. Ann Ahlers!
“To hear young musicians learning to play in what might be their first festival experience is exciting. It was an honor to lead one of the orchestras.” - Ann Ahlers, Music Teacher
Students received their music parts in late September and have been practicing with their school orchestra directors and/or their private teachers since then.
Students were together for the first time on Saturday, November 19th where they spent the morning rehearsing for their concert at 4:00PM.
The following students participated:
Jammers Group
Bella Houston, Violin
Tim Jackson, Violin
Miriam Jackson, Viola
Oliver Maljovec, Violin
Rockers Group
