Forgotten Friends visits John Beck!

On May 12th, kindergarteners at John Beck Elementary were thrilled to learn about reptiles with Jesse Rothacker, owner of Forgotten Friends Reptile Sanctuary.

Forgotten Friends provides an interactive show for students to learn about different reptilian families, see and touch reptiles up close, and share some laughs along the way.

The presentation allowed students to fully engage in the different sizes, types, and diets of various reptiles. One of the students’ favorite parts was learning about the hognose snake, who are known for their hissing and playing dead. Students were thrilled when Jesse let them pretend to be hognose snakes – take a look!

At the end of the show it was clear that everyone had a fantastic time. Many students now want pet snakes of their own – ha!
