Warwick High School

Quiz Bowl Team

What is Quiz Bowl?  Check out the video below.

I coach Quiz Bowl, the academic competition team, at the high school.  Each season we work to recall and use what we know in competition against other high schools in the Lancaster-Lebanon League.  Quiz Bowl covers many topics.  Teams with knowledge of a wide array of topics, including academics, art, music, pop culture, history, religion, politics, sports, current events, etc, do well.  We have a lot of fun at practices and enjoy competing against other schools at our matches.

The Lancaster Lebanon League is divided into Division One and Division Two.  We were the Division Two champions for the 2025-2026 season.  As such, we will be prompted to Division One for the 2026-2027 season.

Practices are usually Mondays after school or Tuesdays before school.  We start in mid-September and our season runs until early February.  There are generally six matches every season; three home and three away.  We sometimes have one or two scrimmages against nearby schools.  Matches are almost always on Monday afternoons.  Our matches follow the NAQT format described in the video above, with each match having three complete games, called rounds.  Each round has twenty questions and up to sixty bonus questions.  We typically qualify for the league playoff each season, in February.  Likewise, we are usually invited to compete in WGAL's Brain Busters competition.

If you are interested in joining us, come out to HS room A201 on Monday afternoons or Tuesday mornings.  No one is cut from the team, we find a place for everyone.

Hope to see you!
