Warwick School District

The 29th Annual Strings Exchange Concert

On November 18th, our Warwick High School String Orchestra musicians and our Warwick High School String Synergy musicians performed in a combined string orchestra concert featuring musicians from Cedar Crest, Lebanon, and Palmyra for the 29th Strings Exchange Concert.

The show took place in the Palmyra High School Auditorium at 7:00PM. This annual event combines over 200 string instrument players. Each high school performs with their own conductor and then the groups combine to perform four pieces together as one large group.

This annual show offers a unique experience to students and allows them to meet other students from all over the area to play in a vast ‘sea of strings.’ It also allows students to experience an orchestra festival and add new pieces to their repertoire.

Fun fact: Mrs. Ann Ahlers is one of the originators of this festival!

“It is wonderful to hear a large string orchestra performing an eclectic program of pieces.” - Ann Ahlers, Music Teacher.
