Animal Science- STEELS

Course Description

Explore the exciting topic of domestic livestock for better understanding of how food goes from the farm to the table and to become a better consumer of what you eat. Students will learn about livestock animals from a consumer and agricultural standpoint.  Topics which will be introduced include animal nutrition, reproduction and general care.  Food safety and product quality and analysis will also be completed.  Livestock include beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, swine and goats, bees and aquaculture systems.
