History and Study of Vocal Music I&II (sem) (2020-

Course Description


Students taking History & Study of Vocal Music I will gain understanding of the voice as the vocal apparatus through the study of posture, breathing and breath support, vowel shapes, diphthongs, basic music theory and sight reading. Students will study and relate techniques and terminology of historical and cultural context to vocal music works.

Students tacking History & Study of Vocal Music II will expand their experience of solo and small ensemble recital performance, further develop vocal musicianship, increase their repertoire of songs for performance.
