Course Description


This is a course required by all students. This course will include a variety of activities which are both team and individual performance oriented. Some examples of team oriented activities are (but not limited to): Flag Football,  Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, Lacrosse, Floor Hockey.

Some examples of individual performance activities are (but not limited to): Physical Fitness Testing, Tennis, Track and Field, Dance, Badminton, Fitness Center

PA Common Core: Science and Technical Subjects (2012)

  • Reading Informational Text: Students read, understand, and respond to informational text – with emphasis on comprehension, making connections among ideas and between texts with focus on textual evidence.

    • GRADES 6-8

      • Follow precisely a multistep procedure when carrying out experiments, taking measurements, or performing technical tasks.(3.5.6-8.C)
  • Writing: Students write for different purposes and audiences. Students write clear and focused text to convey a well-defined perspective and appropriate content.
