Course Description

Pre Algebra is the bridge from Elementary School math skills to our Algebra 1 curriculum. We take many of the skills learned from K-6 and work on "mastery" of those skills. The idea is that once the student moves on from Pre Algebra, they should be completely prepared to take the Algebra 1 (Keystone) course.

  • Numbers and Operations

    • GRADE 4

      • Apply place value concepts to show an understanding of multi-digit whole numbers.(2.1.4.B1)
      • Extend the understanding of fractions to show equivalence and ordering.(2.1.4.C1)
      • Connect decimal notation to fractions, and compare decimal fractions (base 10 denominator, e.g, 19/100).(2.1.4.C3)
