
Life Science is the study of living things. The course involves science as inquiry and discusses the structure and function of the various levels of life. The life science topics for this class include scientific inquiry, characteristics of living things, the chemistry of life, the metric system, cell structure, cellular organization, cell processes, cell reproduction, DNA, genetics, evolution, ecology, classification, taxonomy, and kingdoms of life. In this class, students will take part in presentations, demonstrations, discussions, laboratory exercises, computer simulations, and collaborative activities.
