Physical Education Unified

Course Description


Unified Physical Education is a unique opportunity for students of varying ability levels and backgrounds to come together on equal terms through ongoing fitness, sports, leadership and wellness activities. This course is designed to provide students with and without disabilities the opportunity to experience all forms of sports activities in a modified, recreational, and less competitive environment.

PA Common Core: Science and Technical Subjects (2012)

  • Reading Informational Text: Students read, understand, and respond to informational text – with emphasis on comprehension, making connections among ideas and between texts with focus on textual evidence.

    • GRADES 6-8

      • Follow precisely a multistep procedure when carrying out experiments, taking measurements, or performing technical tasks.(3.5.6-8.C)
  • Writing: Students write for different purposes and audiences. Students write clear and focused text to convey a well-defined perspective and appropriate content.
