
This course will benefit students interested in a medical, therapy, nursing, health, physical education, art or athletic training related careers. Emphasis includes an overview of the eleven body systems, anatomical and directional terminology, body tissues, integumentary system (skin), skeletal system with emphasis on boney landmarks, cardiovascular system, and muscular system. Mini units include the respiratory system, digestive system, sensory organs, and virtual surgeries. Labs include making a skeleton, fetal pig dissection, Odontology lab (creating dental molds for forensic lab) and forensic anthropology lab (skeletal remains identification and biological profile).
