This is a hands-on course designed to prepare students to understand and apply technological concepts and processes through the use of wood. Individual and group projects engage students in creating ideas, developing innovations and engineering practical solutions. Technology content, resources and laboratory activities encourage student applications of science, mathematics and other academic areas. This course will guide the student through career orientation and discussions of the economic impact of the woodworking industry on the economy. The student will develop an appreciation of craftsmanship and completion of goals.
