Course Description


The elementary health education course promotes health literacy by providing well-rounded, comprehensive, and ongoing learning opportunities for elementary students to practice life-long healthy behaviors essential for optimal emotional, mental, physical, safety, and social well-being.

  • Concepts of Health

    • GRADE 6

      • Describe growth and development changes that occur between childhood and adolescence and identify factors that can influence these changes. -education -socioeconomic(10.1.6.A)
      • Identify and describe the structure and function of the major body systems. -nervous -muscular -integumentary -urinary -endocrine -reproductive -immune(10.1.6.B)
