Symphonic band is the “big band” at WHS and is comprised of all woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments, as well as string bass and piano as needed. The band performs two concerts throughout the year, performs in at least one sponsored adjudication, and rehearses in accordance with the BOC schedule posted outside every music room. The band plays a diverse repertoire of music including marches, band "cornerstone" pieces, new literature, and occasionally vocal and orchestral literature.
