Course Description
This course develops musicianship through playing a band instrument. Instrumental music lessons are offered to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students, who elect to play a woodwind, brass, or percussion (Total Percussion=pitched and non-pitched) instrument. Group lessons are offered once every six schools days during the student day to help students learn to read and to perform music on their instruments. Students are given the opportunity to participate in the elementary band during the second semester.
