Course Description
This course is designed to help students continue their studies of child development. The course is a continuation from Child Development 1, and will focus on applying child development theory to the preschool, middle childhood, and adolescent stages of development. Child Development 2 will also aid in preparing students for future careers working with children and youth by further developing career skills and providing an introduction to preparing developmentally appropriate activities for children.

Child Development
Grade 9
- Analyze physical, intellectual and social/emotional development in relation to theories of child development.(11.4.9.A)

- Evaluate various environments to determine if they provide the characteristics of a proper learning environment.(11.4.9.C)
