Biography

I am not only a teacher at Warwick, but also a 1997 Warwick graduate! After graduating from James Madison University, I started my teaching career in Fairfax County, VA before returning to Warwick. I had the honor replacing the teacher that instilled a passion for Ceramics in me. I primarily teach the various levels of Ceramics at the high school as well as Foundations of Sculpture. My wife and I have the joy of being the caretakers of Faline, the school's facility dog.

I'm a working artist that makes functional pottery at my community clay studio in Lititz, where I also teach classes and manage operations. When I can get away from clay, I enjoy finding adventures with my family, competing in Triathlons, and seeking out great food.

My hope as an art teacher at Warwick is that students take away their work with a sense of pride. There's nothing more satisfying than guiding a student through the steps and challenges of a project, and then seeing their excitement and pride when it's finished. Regardless of a student's path in life, taking pride in their hard work is something that can translate anywhere.
