Formal literacy assessments occur throughout the school year. These assessments include: DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) and FSS (Foundational Skills Survey).
Formal writing samples are also collected throughout each trimester.
Math assessments are given two times during each module. Students are also expected to know their math facts to 18. Mastery is also expected in identifying, writing and building numbers to 120.
