The goal of Warwick Food and Nutrition is to serve a nutritious breakfast and lunch at a reasonable price to every student in the District.  We understand the importance of good nutrition and how it relates to a child’s success in the classroom.  Warwick will continue to offer several lunch payment options for the convenience of our parents and students.

CASH PAYMENTS
  • Students may continue to pay cash when going through the lunch line. 
DEBIT ACCOUNTS
  • Warwick offers parents the option to put money on account to pay for meals.  This can be done by sending a check in the envelopes provided, clearly marked with the students name, homeroom and amount of payment.  Parents may apply any amount to the student’s meal account.  There is no fee for this service.  When students purchase a meal, the cost of the meal and any additional ala carte items will be deducted from the student’s balance.  Students may not purchase another child’s meal on their account, and they may not receive cash from their account.  Cashiers will advise students when their account balance is low.  Envelopes will be sent home with elementary students as a reminder that money is needed on their account.  Please check your child’s book bag for lunch account reminders.
EZSchoolPay.com
  • EZSchoolPay is a convenient on-line lunch payment service.  Payments can be made to your child’s lunch account using VISA/ Discover or MasterCard (debit or credit).  There is a $3.00 flat fee for each credit card transaction.  For example, if a parent deposits money into three children’s accounts using the same credit card transaction, there will be one $3.00 fee.  Funds deposited through EZSchoolPay typically show up on your student’s account within 20 minutes.
  • If you choose not to pay on-line, it is still beneficial to register with EZSchoolPay.com.  Registration is free and enables parents to monitor their student’s lunch balance and meal activity online.  Parents are also able to receive low-balance email alerts.  The low-balance level for all accounts is currently set at $.00.  In order to receive a low balance message for your student’s account, parents are responsible for setting a low balance level to something that makes sense for you.  If your low balance level preset is $6.00, you will receive email notification when your student’s balance hits $6.00.  This is a great tool for helping you anticipate and avoid interruption of your student’s meal service.
All High School and Middle School students must present their ID card to the cashier when using funds from their account to purchase a meal.  This is to ensure that the proper account is being debited.  DO NOT throw away ID cards when promoted to the High School – the Middle School card will be used until new cards are made after school pictures have been taken.

A nutritious meal is important to the success of our students.  If students do not have lunch money, they will receive a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and milk at no cost to the student.  This is a board approved policy to ensure that no child goes hungry.
