2022 Warwick Mini-THON

For the first time since 2019, Warwick School District was thrilled to host their annual Mini-THON in person!

Warwick’s Mini-THON occurred last Saturday on April 30th from 10:00am - 10:00pm. Community members were invited to attend from 10:00am - 2:00pm to enjoy the festivities.

During the community hours, individuals were able to enjoy bounce houses, food trucks, bingo, face painting, story time, games, a dunk tank, and more. The event was held at the high school and was the culmination of students’ year-long fundraising efforts to support the Four Diamonds, an organization based in Hershey that offers financial support for families with children battling pediatric cancer. The organization began in 1972 and has since helped to support more than 4,800 families.

This organization covers everything from treatments and medication, to ad hoc family expenses such as hotel stays, meals, gas, and more.

Since the event began in 2011, students have collectively raised over $321,000 For the Kids.

The event involved about 90 students, 20 faculty members, and even more community members. The Unite Club Leaders planned and ran the entire event. These leaders include Julie Mowrer, Lauren Leister, Brynn Theurer, Layla Bryan, Josie Miller, Bridget Kline, Izzi Rudy, Olivia Wohr, Lauren Graybill, Tish Jones, and Georgia Lobb, and Piper Hepler.

During the student-only lock-in hours, students were able to participate in lip sync battle, play corn hole, dodgeball, Just Dance, Zumba, Trivia, a Rave hour, and more.

At the end of the night, it was revealed that the students had raised a whopping $46,006.08!

“We are so proud of our students for all their hard work this year and are so excited to keep the momentum of Mini-THON going for years to come.“ - Julie Mowrer, advisor of the Unite Club.

This event is a great opportunity for students to fundraise and support a really great cause. It is a truly humbling organization for our students to be involved with and fundraise for and we are so glad that we can continue to contribute to the Four Diamonds Fund year after year.
