Warwick High School Hosts Virtual Science Fair

The Warwick High School Science department is holding its annual science fair, but this year it will look a little different.  Students will be participating and displaying their projects virtually.

Unfortunately, the community night will not happen in person, but we encourage the public to join our students for a virtual open house on Wednesday, March 10th from 6-8 p.m.  Honors chemistry students will be presenting their projects in categories like Animal and Plant Science, Biochemistry, Physics, Astronomy, more.  Even though this event is not being held in person, the students are making it as interactive and family-friendly as possible. Live demonstrations will be given by Norah Ciano, Amber Houser and Gavin Troop, followed by a children’s read aloud with Natalie George and Elle Herritt.

Students will share a five minute presentation on their subject matter. During their presentation, each student will have a Google Doc where the community, family or friends, can interact by asking questions on the topic or simply give comments and feedback.  The People’s Choice Award will happen again this year; this is an opportunity to fill out a short form and vote for your favorite science fair presentation from the night.  Participants can also register for a door prize.

More information and details on each student’s project is available here.

We hope you will join and encourage our students by participating in this virtual event.
