Warwick to Light Up Stadium to Honor the Class of 2020

On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, Warwick School District will be joining several Lancaster-Lebanon League member schools to honor all students from the Class of 2020 and to support nurses, doctors, and first responders on the front line of COVID-19 by lighting up our stadium at 8:20 (20:20 military time) and leaving the lights on for 20 minutes. Several schools in Texas started this initiative weeks ago, and it has spread across the country. May 20 signifies the official completion of the L-L League regular and championship season, thus officially ending the 2020 L-L League spring sports’ season.

Scoreboards will be displaying the score 20-20 in honor of this year’s graduating class, while 4th down and 19 Yards To Go will be displayed as the down and distance signifying COVID-19 is on its final down.

Please note that supporters are permitted to drive by the campus, but are NOT permitted to enter the stadium during this observance. Spectators are asked to NOT congregate on campus. School personnel will be posting pictures on Warwick’s social media sites, and the local media will be made aware of the event.
