Warwick Music Department Presents Annual Holiday Show

Warwick High School Music Department proudly presents this year’s holiday show “Believe...Peace Will Come Again,” on Saturday, December 14th at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 15th at 3 p.m. at the Warwick High School Performing Arts Center.  Admission is free.

The annual holiday show features performances by the Warwick High School orchestra, concert choir, Warwick Middle School choruses, and the production companies.

“This year’s show was inspired by the events of the world around us,” stated Mrs. Debra Kline-Smith, Director of Choirs.  “The hope is that the music will inspire the audience to believe that peace will come again.”

Experience the re-creation of the town of Lititz on stage.  Lititz Springs Park will come to life complete with snow to capture the local hometown atmosphere.  “I think the audience will really enjoy the resemblance of our wonderful town of Lititz,” says Mrs. Kline-Smith.

Musically, this year’s show is a little different than in years past. Traditional holiday favorites like “Silent Night” and “Joy to the World” will be performed but with a bit of a modern twist.

The high school orchestra will start out with the show.  Violin soloists include Hudson Jean, Alexis Kellogg, Kendall Eby, Joy Singer, and Alayna Gregory. Concert Choir will perform holiday favorites like “This Christmas” and their rendition of “Silent Night.”

After a 15 minute intermission, the production company will sing “Christmas Day” and “Where Are you Christmas.” Featured soloists include Lauren Epps, Akash Banerjee, Katherine Bender, Kayla Bassoff, Stella Newman, A.J. Germaine, Noah Johnson, and Emily Krieg.  The Warwick Middle School chorus will then take the stage. Soloists are Luciana Martinez, Jacob Soslow, Alexander Fair and Emmeline McFarling.

As in previous years, Warwick alumni and friends are invited to join along in the singing of holiday favorite “Hallelujah Chorus.”
