Warwick Students Take 1st Place in Stock Market Game

Congratulations to Warwick High School students, Ellie Clauss and Tyler Shillady, who were recognized by the Stock Market Game at Cabrini College last month. This is a 10-week game where students were given $100,000 to invest in an online simulation of the global capital markets. Ellie and Tyler took first place for the Fall Stock Market Game. The market during this period went way down yet the Warwick students managed to make money in the bear market with a final equity of $111,546.38.

"By participating in the Stock Market Game students get a real-world learning experience while virtually investing in the global economy," stated their advisor, high school Business Education teacher, Mrs. Brenda Crosetto.

Crosetto also explained that this helps with building a fundamental understanding of investing so students can become comfortable with it when they become adults."
