Warwick Middle School Presents 'Beauty and the Beast Jr.'

Warwick Middle School Presents 'Beauty and the Beast Jr.'

The Warwick Middle School Drama Club will present the production of “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” on Friday, May 18th at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 19th at 2 p.m. in the Middle School Auditorium.

This is the classic tale of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town played by Emma Walls, and the Beast (Stirling McFarlan), a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress.  The Beast needs to learn to love and be loved in order for the curse to end. If he does he will be transformed back to his former self, but time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and the entire castle will be doomed for all eternity.  Based on the original Broadway production that ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance.
