Two Warwick students were recently accepted into the prestigious Pennsylvania Governor’s Schools for the summer of 2018.
Junior Evan Troop will attend the Governor’s School for the Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University and Sophomore Akash Banerjee will attend the Governor’s School for Global and International Studies at the University of Pittsburgh.
The Governor’s Schools are extremely competitive residential programs that challenge students in an immersive experience for the course of five weeks over the summer. The school's application process requires students to write topical essays, display their extra-curricular resumes, as well as teacher recommendations in order to apply. PSAT scores are also taken into consideration for applicants.
Congratulations to Evan and Akash for their achievement! Best of luck in the programs this summer.
