On Saturday, February 24th, 2018, 25 Warwick High School Students attended the Region 4 Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Sciences (PJAS) Science Fair held at Hershey High School. Students presented digital slideshows of their science fair research to judges and peers. Projects were registered in the following categories: Animal and Plant Sciences, Astronomy, Earth Science, and Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering and Physics, Material Science, and Microbiology.
Sophmore, Akash Banerjee had a perfect score of five, with his project titled, "Using Natural Biocompatible Additives to Improve Magnetic Targeted Drug Delivery." Faythe Miller, Nicholas Taylor, Michelle Gibble, Ally Wetherhold, Amanda Beck, Mason Caleca, Corbin Snavely, Marcus Wachira, Jon Bergh, Alexis Kellogg, Rylee Diffenderfer, and Charles Wickenheiser had scores of at least four.
These 13 Warwick students are now eligible for the State PJAS Science Fair that will be held at Penn State Main Campus in May.
