Warwick Middle School was well represented at the recent LLMEA Middle School Orchestra Festival. Eight string musicians were selected for this honors festival.
There were several middle school violinists that participated in the event: Angela Cordischi, Sophia Birbas, Kendall Eby, Abigail Kerst, Theo Lance and Joy Singer. Holly Colvin performed on the cello and James Moll on viola.
The students started preparing music for this festival in mid-September. They were required to attend a full day of rehearsals at Palmyra High School. The students skillfully performed in one of the two orchestras during the 4 p.m. concert.
This festival was co-hosted by Warwick’s own, Mrs. Ann Ahlers, in accordance with Mr. Andrew Kurtz from Palmyra School District. Students were under the direction of Mrs. Sara Masten from Penn Manor School District and Mrs. LaShae Willits from Mechanicsburg Area School District.
