Warwick celebrated a
great weekend of homecoming activities on Friday and Saturday,
October 27 and 28, 2017. The fun began with a pep rally on Friday afternoon,
which included the crowning of Carter Forney as the Spirit King. The football team was honored at the pep
rally, and sports teams enjoyed relay races, cheered on by their
the Warwick Warrior football team defeated Conestoga Valley in an exciting
55-27 game. The Warwick marching band, complemented by a group of alumni,
played in the stands and during the homecoming ceremony at halftime.
The homecoming court
was announced during the halftime show, and included Abby Parsons as second runner up and Talia
Bertrando as first runner up. McKenzie Cossette was crowned Warwick’s
homecoming queen for 2017. Congratulations
to the whole court!
weekend festivities culminated in the homecoming dance on
Saturday night, held in the cafeteria at Warwick High School. This
year’s theme was “Alice in Wonderland.” Student
council, with the help of the members of the National Art Honor Society, worked
to decorate the halls in keeping with the theme. A DJ provided dance tunes all night.
great weekend was had by all!
