WHS Hosts 61st Baccalaureate


The Class of 2017 gathered with family and friends for the Sixty-First Annual Reflections/Baccalaureate Program on June 8, 2017 in the Warwick High School Performing Arts Center.

The program began with a prelude by the Warwick High School Orchestra, led by Mrs. Ahlers. They continued with the traditional processional Pomp & Circumstance as students wearing their gowns, mortar boards and tassels filed into the auditorium.



The evening events were emceed by the 2017 Class Leadership, including: William Mobley, president; Jason Hines, vice-president; Carson Armstrong, secretary; and Ethan Norman, treasurer.



Student performances included: Jordan Sweeney, dancing to “You Got It Bad”;  “I Hope You Dance”, a solo by Micah Kuch; “On My Way”, a dance by Ally Fulginiti; “A River Flows Through You”, a piano solo by Ryan Guinter; “Footprints in the Sand”, a dance by Kira Weaver; “When We Were Young” a solo by Hannah Schmeling; “O Re Piya”, danced by Shohini Banerjerr; and “Homeward Bound”, a duet sung by Zoey Winters, Macaylah Mutchler and accompanied on piano by Natalie Martin.



 

   

 


   

The full Concert Choir, directed by Mrs. Kline-Smith, closed the student performances with “Already Home,” featuring the senior members of the choir.



The message was given by Rev. John Knudson.



Students exited the auditorium to the postlude, “Ashokan Farewell” performed by the Warwick High School Orchestra.
