John R. Bonfield Elementary School hosted their annual Day of the Arts on May 26, 2017. The Day of Arts opened with an all-school assembly featuring the Hooley School of Irish Dance and then changed to small group sessions where students spent time with artists and learned first-hand about their craft. The Day of the Arts is designed to give students the opportunity to learn about the arts from experts in the arts fields.
This year, the JRB Day of the Arts presenters included: Hooley School of Dance; Jennifer Switch, pottery; Brian Evans, photography; Lars Pottier and Tammy Black, opera and jazz piano; Miranda Dorosz, digital art; Bethany Muller, hand signs; Sheryl Reese, quilter; Ssteph Jo Wise, Fulton; Jerri Robinson, fiber art; and Emelene Wenger, painting.
Thanks to all of the artists who gave of their time and talents to bring the arts to JRB students!
