District Sixth Grade Track & Field Day
Approximately 300 Warwick sixth graders participated in the annual Sixth Grade District-wide Track and Field Day held Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Warwick High School Grosh Stadium track. All sixth graders from across the district met for friendly competitions in running, throwing, and jumping. The events included the 100 meter race, 200 meter race, 400 meter race, 4x100 meter relay, soccer punt, softball throw, football throw, high jump, long jump and tug of war.
Some highlights from the day include: a tie in the Girls 4x100 meter relay between a girls team from Lititz El. (Julia Barto, Nora White, Norah Scott and Kiki Billis) and John Beck (Olivia Shertzer, Ella Lucas, Maddie Neff and Sophia Gesicki), Boys Long Jump Score of 12' 1" by Seth Graybill of John Beck, Boys 400 meter race score of 1:07:28 by Chad Cumberbatch of Kissel Hill and Boys High Jump Score of 4'5" by Bishop Villereal of John R Bonfield and Brendan Stuhltrager of Kissel Hill.
Students throughout the district look forward to this event every spring. Students experienced a day filled with excitement, competition, and sportsmanship.
