German Students Excel on National German Exam

Recently 26 WHS students in German II, III, and IV classes volunteered to participate in the National German Exam, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of German.  This challenging exam, consisting of listening and reading comprehension activities, provides students with an opportunity to compare their achievements with other German students throughout the country. The students listed below earned top awards, having scored in the top ten, twenty, and thirty percent of those throughout the country who took the exam. Excellent results!

Gold-Level Awards (top 10%)
  • Halle Beears
  • Emma Morgan
  • Corbin Snavely
  • Charlie Wickenheiser
  • Mathilda Zartman

Silver-Level Awards (top 20%)
  • Sarah Esterby
  • Tanner Heckel
  • Johanna Martin

Bronze-Level Awards (top 30%)
  • Asher Christner
  • Christopher Conrad
  • Henry Stover
  • Jasmine Weaver

Beears, Snavely, Wickenheiser and Zartman scored high enough to qualify to compete for a three-week study trip to Germany in the summer of 2017.

Herzlichen Gl├╝ckwunsch (Congratulations!) to these WUNDERBARE German students!
