KH Performs RACK

KH Performs RACK

The fourth grade class at Kissel Hill Elementary performed RACK (Random Acts of Christmas Kindness) throughout the month of December. Their character trait for the month was “Giving With Gratitude”.

After the students took home RACK cards to offer or display at the location of the act of kindness. The students shared the wonderful feeling you get when you give from the heart, with gratitude, for no other reason but to give and be joyful.

Some examples:

Kissel Hill students enjoyed singing numerous Christmas carols, as well as reading Christmas jokes to a roomful of residents at Luther Acres.  They had a fun time but also loved seeing the joy it brought to all the residents.

One student donated a book to an organization called Alyssa’s Bedtime Stories. This organization gives books and pajamas to underprivileged children in Lancaster. The student bought the book with his own money and also had it signed by the author.

Another student and family made treats for the crossing guard at Kissel Hill to thank her for keeping children safe and for her kind words to children as they head to school.
