Warwick High School Interact Club students are sponsoring a "Fundrazor Event" Thursday, August 9 from 5-7 p.m. in the high school gym to benefit local cancer outreach programs and contribute to the Katie Oppo Memorial fund. The Interact Club is holding this event in memory of Katie Oppo, a student studying pre-med at Johns Hopkins University who was diagnosed with a rare form of Ovarian Cancer in August of 2010. Katie maintained a positive outlook and courage, dignity and grace. In April 2011 she lost her battle.

Local stylists have agreed to donate their time to buzz or trim hair on August 9 from 5-7 p.m. Buzz cuts and trims are $5.

All proceeds will benefit local cancer outreach programs and a contribution will be made to the Katie Oppo Memorial Fund.
